The challenge
Having set an ambitious growth target of 20% within 2 years, the new COO brought us in to help harness the full power of the organisation to reach it.
With varying degrees of performance across regions, a product led strategy restricting innovation, and siloed working leading to missed opportunities, an intervention was needed if they were going to hit their target.
We were brought in to engage central and regional leadership, and help the COO energise and focus strategic efforts across the organisation to identify new opportunities.
What did we do?
- Brought together 50 leaders and product owners, from core and regional leadership, through 4x 2 day global collaboration events delivered in Israel, Vienna, Russia and Thailand
- Participants aligned on the vision and strategy, learnt about global areas of opportunity and innovation and explored between the lines of disciplines to identify opportunities for growth
- Regions were empowered to generate their own opportunities, both commercial and operational, to improve their efficiencies and working relationships with clients and partners
- Built a transformation map for each opportunity
- Developed strategies for better client relationship management & bolstering of partnerships
What was the impact?
- Each region developed a Transformation Map with specific activities to drive growth and identify cost savings, and successfully implemented them
- Invigorated, energised group of leaders, clearly aligned around a growth target; siloes were removed and communication increased
- Improved client relationships by approaching them in a co-ordinated way
- Learned to look beyond own disciplines to identify opportunities, working together to find better patient outcomes
